Blacksheep MilSim – Part 3

Bravo 21 adopted me as one of their own, so I got to play on. This time, I was guarding the tunnel entrance from the police station next door. I heard some ruckus from on the other side, and stood fast at my position, with my G&G pointed down, ready to pull the trigger. The last I had seen, Bravo still had control of the police station, but a lot can happen while you’re in a basement, and unable to see what’s going on. I opted to climb down the ladder to see what I could. There was no one coming down the tunnel, so I scurried (as well as I scurry) up the ladder, ran up the stairs and took a peek out of one of the windows. Alpha was in process of changing the flags over. They had overrun the police station.

I then ran to the Squad leader to let him know that Alpha had taken over the police station. He was displeased about two things. First of all, he wasn’t too keen on the fact that Alpha had taken over a building that’s directly connected to the building we currently occupied. Secondly, he was none too pleased about me leaving my post – which was the one point of entry that Alpha had direct access to the building. So, I went back down to guard the hole once again.

Something to mention here is that at Operation Blacksheep, they have sound effects, music, and they make the lights do weird things. I’m sitting in a basement by myself, and the lights go out. Mind you, I’m not afraid of the dark, but your other senses immediately become far more sensitive when one becomes nullified. I could hear every little thing going on around me. That dark silence abruptly ended with a howling screech, which they had piped in through the speakers.

Also, while the lights were out, I heard some commotion coming from the direction of the stairwell, which was around two corners from my current position. I lifted my G&G Raider and pointed it in the direction that I felt would have been correct for anyone coming that way. As soon as I head someone scuffle around the corner, I popped my flashlight on, and someone yelled “BRAVO!” OK, these guys are from my company. They made their way down to the tunnel entrance, and were planning on taking the police station from below. I assume they failed, because they never came back, and when I checked later, it was still under Alpha Company control.

Shortly after that crew had gone down, another squad member was sent down to watch the tunnel with me. I suppose we could have stood there, at the ready, with our airsoft guns constantly pointed at the opening, but we decided for an easier route. Since we knew we’d hear if anyone was coming in, we decided for a relaxed approach until the Alpha enemies came. We chatted about our respective guns, and he liked my Desert Eagle enough to use it, while I used my M4.

The Alphas never came, at least not before relievers came. Once that happened, my adoptive squad and I returned to the staging area. Their plan was to eat, while mine was to just return and look for Bravo 41.

Too be continued…
